Welcome to the home of Band on the Wall Recordings, a new record label based here at Band on the Wall.
We began in 2020 with the production of two fundraiser compilations, released as a response to the Covid-19 outbreak and with the hope of providing financial support to young artists.
The first – 2020, is a snapshot of the future sound of Manchester, whilst the second – Live from Band on the Wall, is a high-quality pack of live tracks, captured between 2009 – 2014 inside Band on the Wall, featuring artists such as Gregory Porter & Snarky Puppy.
We’re thrilled to say that these albums generated essential income to artists, and we begun distributing the royalties to the contributing musicians at the start of 2021.
In July 2021 we launched The Singles Club – an ongoing series of 7” vinyl releases, featuring brand new tracks from some of our favourite rising artists from Manchester. Since launching The Singles Club, we’ve recruited the likes of Mali Hayes, Contours, Lovescene & Matt Wilde to contribute, and have garnered support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Resident Advisor, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Record Collector and lots more.

With the launch of its new label, iconic Manchester venue Band on the Wall now has another outlet to explore the rich intersection of jazz and electronic music.
