Manchester-via-Cumbria producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ Tom Burford, AKA Contours, finds home on The Singles Club with a stellar two-track release moulding synths and drum machine-heavy programming with elements of samba and boogie.
Opening with ‘The Programme‘, the focus sits heavily on the interaction between the drum machine and synthesizer. Licks of acid bassline and filtered lead sit on top of cosmic pads whilst verb-laden percussion cuts across the track.
B-side ‘Conga Quinto (Dub)‘ is a loose, synth-driven Latin jazz track merging congas; dubbed-out latin percussion run through Space Echo; synth basslines and Rhodes keys.
