Julian Marley ‘Violence in the Street’ 30th July 2010

Son of the world’s most venerated reggae supestar, Julian ‘Ju Ju’ Marley performed with his band at Band on the Wall on 30th July 2010. This excerpt of the sell-out concert features one of his songs, “Violence in the Street” and was filmed by the Band on the Wall AV Unit.

In May 2010 Julian collected the award for Best Album of the Year for his third studio album, “Awake”, at the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in New York City.

Born in London in 1975 to Bob Marley and Lucy Pounder, Julian spent his childhood partly in England and partly in Jamaica, where he took up residence in 1992. A committed Rastafarian, like his father, Julian became involved with brothers Ziggy and Stephen in Ghetto Youths International, a music production company that also has a Foundation that helps disadvantaged young people.
