Ready to be transported to the ancient Irish province of Ulster…?
Blending the historic with the innovative, Li Ban reimagine genres, stories and sounds from their ancient counties. Delving into Irish mythology and traditions with a revived energy, their most recent release, Rud Nach Léir, spans four different generations of musicians and singers. Centred on singer and flute player Ríoghnach Connolly and her family, the album is a delicate glimpse into classic harp and flute-playing.
Playing here for a special, one-off show, Lí Ban recover archaic songs from the shores of Lough Neagh, celebrating the deep, rich history of their Irish heritage.
