Ground-breaking and multi-award winning singer and musician, Eliza Carthy, is recording a brand new album with a brand new band, The Wayward Band. No ordinary ensemble, The Wayward Band is bursting at the seams with some of the finest players in recent times, including members of Bellowhead, Mawkin, Blowzabella, Edward II, Emily Portman Trio, Peatbog Fairies, Dreams of Tall Buildings & Tyde.

‘The Big Machine’ by Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band, is due for release in October 2016 and will feature traditional material, as well as classics from Eliza’s back catalogue and new tunes.

Marry Waterson returned in 2015 with her album ‘Two Wolves’, written in collaboration with David A. Jaycock. The songs cover a wide range of subject material from laments about disappearing village communities (Hoping To Be Saved) to the title track’s reflection on the duality of human nature.

You can also watch the fantastic video for ‘The Honey & The Seaweed’, animated by Marry herself, here.

“I care about holding my arms open to those that have nothing; I care about the great tradition of hospitality, freedom of thought and speech. I have never turned anyone from my door and would never turn anyone away from my shore. There is plenty for everyone; the fruit in our garden is good.” – Eliza Carthy
