Electronic musician and composer Ben Hayes plays Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works 85-92, a unique and fascinating show which previously sold out London’s the Jazz Cafe in less than 10 minutes.
Unquestionably one of the most definitive collections of ambient music ever made, and the pinnacle of his own canon, Hayes’ interpretation of the record promises to be in equal parts invigorating as it will be fascinating to witness.
Four of south London’s busiest jazz and electronic musicians come together to explore and reimagine the sound world of Aphex Twin’s seminal record Selected Ambient Works 85-92. The result is an interpretation that simultaneously respected the gravity of the original, and connected it to their modern musical worlds.
Made up from some of the best players on the blistering London jazz scene, this promises to be an incredible night.
