We’re celebrating ten years since re-opening following major refurbishment in 2009, with an all-day party featuring performances from Hollie Cook, Habibi Funk, Flamingods and more on Sat 21st Sept, 3pm – 3am.
The tenth anniversary celebration will also see performances from Blue Lab Beats, Katbrownsugar, Me Gusta DJs, Mama Racho, Evabee, P Ro Jones (Lovescene) and DJ Nick Sinna, with tickets available for only £10, forming part of Band on the Wall’s celebratory season of concerts throughout September and October.
Voted as Manchester’s Best Live Venue in the 2019 CityLife Awards, Band on the Wall will welcome artists from across the world, including jazz-fusion saxophonist YolanDa Brown, alt-folk musician Marika Hackman, Indian percussionist and composer Sarathy Korwar, Ghanaian highlife pioneer Pat Thomas and many more this Autumn. The celebration precedes Band on the Wall’s ambitious expansion into the currently derelict ‘Cocozza’ building to the rear of the current building, increasing the main venue capacity from 350 to 500; significantly improving facilities for education and community engagement programmes; remodelling the bar with external terrace space and adding a new small second venue for emerging artists.
