Following a careful selection process, the line-up for the next Inner City Ensemble has been announced, with seven emerging professional UK jazz and crossover musicians joining groundbreaking jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Courtney Pine C.B.E. for the fourth edition of the Jazz Directors Series this February.

Critically-acclaimed saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Courtney Pine C.B.E returns to the UK for the fourth edition of the Jazz Directors Series in February 2018, taking in four shows in Manchester, Leeds, Clitheroe and Lancaster with the Inner City Ensemble. The newly assembled ensemble will play material written by Pine and will include tuba, trombone, clarinet, piano, drums, trumpet, guitar, double bass, and saxophones.
The line-up comprises of some of the most promising and exciting emerging musicians working today, and includes previous Snarky Puppy, Sons of Kemet, Pharoahe Monch and Terence Blanchard collobarators, as well as alumni of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Berklee College of Music:
