Band on the Wall present one of the UK’s best up and coming acts in the intimate surroundings of The Castle.
Southend based Youth Club first caught people’s attention in May 2014 when they self released their debut EP ‘Colours’. It stormed the official independent singles charts reaching #25 and charted at #7 in the iTunes alternative charts. They are the first unsigned Essex band to officially chart right next to Adele.
Exciting times are ahead as they are now signed to Lab Records who released their second EP titled ‘Brothers’ on 1st Feb. Support received includes Huw Stevens (BBC Radio 1), the 405 and with plays on Sunday Brunch and Made in Chelsea. This year has seen them play Radio 1’s Big Weekender in Norwich, Y-Not Festival, Standon Calling and headlining a stage at Beatherder.
Their music mixes guitar licks, electronic keys and RnB vocals to create crisp, dance orientated pop. Sounding like long lost brothers of Phoenix and Two Door Cinema Club, Youth Club are the authentic sound of summer.
The Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open beforehand for delicious food and drinks.
