Lewis James plays a free DJ set afterparty live from Band on the Wall alongside some very special guests following on from his debut headline show.
Lewis James from Manchester, UK has been writing and producing synth layered precision pop inspired by the likes of Depeche Mode, New Order and The 1975 since 2019. The Manchester Evening News writes that James ‘constantly keeps you on your toes with unpredictable, kaleidoscopic songwriting – one minute dabbling in heavyweight hip-hop, the next visceral electro, before segueing into lo-fi, soulful sounds.’
His debut, self-produced EP loverboy was released in 2021 to critical acclaim receiving radio play from Amazing Radio UK and US, alongside a national play and feature from Co-Op Radio UK.
His 2022 follow-up WHAT YOU WANT ME TO BE took his music in a somewhat darker direction whilst still holding true to his synth-pop sound and poet-like lyricism. EP highlights include lead single THE WAVE which was featured on Radio X and hyper-pop track LOST featuring art-pop outfit Flowers of Evil.
James’ new project Adventureland is expected in the spring/summer of 2023.
