Hailing from Manchester, Twisted tubes are a genre-bending, explosive 10 piece outfit. Blending dancehall, hip-hop and straight up funk, the Tubes sound defies conventional brass collectives, with their full latin percussion section and 3-piece sax section allowing musical expansion way beyond what you’ve heard before.
Drawing influence from the likes of Jill Scott, Snarky Puppy, Stevie Wonder, Robert Glasper and Hiatus Kaiyote, Tubes maintains their unique sound despite tearing through a multitude of soundscapes and genres. This exploratory, relentless style allows for collaborations with singers and EDM artists.
2016 saw collaborations with Jenna G and Dave McCabe of the Zutons, and we can’t wait to see them back on the Band on the Wall stage.
