The Seniors are an indie / folk band from South Manchester.

Formed in 2013, over the last 5 years they have produced four EPs and have performed at Glastonbury Festival and Carfest North, as well as playing a string of prestigious venues and festivals up and down the UK.

How would you describe their music? A fan recently said: “If Elbow, Mumford & Sons and the Arctic Monkeys were suddenly to have a love child, it might sound a little bit like The Seniors!”

There is certainly a folky ‘storytelling’ aspect to a lot of their songs, occasionally blends of old school ska creep in from time to time, combined with some ‘farmyard’ stomping sounds and a smidgen of indie rock. With one or two heartfelt ballads thrown into the mix, just in case you want to bring your grandma to the show! In short, musical vibes to touch the heart, the soul and the dancing feet!
Joining the Seniors on this bill are Hourglass.

Hourglass are an indie / alternative / folk band from Manchester. Formed in 2017 by lead guitarist Adam Jae and drummer Pete Ebbrell, they were joined by Adam’s uni friend – cellist and keyboard player Mike C Calvert, and Pete’s brother, singer / songwriter Ralph Ebbrell.

Influenced by classic rock and indie, their sound features heartfelt lyrics and classic melodies soaring over loud guitars, crashing drums and harmonic keys and strings.

This is a standing show.
