The sensational Robert Glasper Experiment live at Band on the Wall with his hip hop hot-wired electric quartet.

Hip hop-influenced pianist Robert Glasper follows the likes of McCoy Tyner and Herbie Hancock as the Blue Note label’s latest piano star to push the classic jazz format into uncharted territory. A loose-limbed and expressive soloist, Glasper incorporates fractured and insistent melodic loops and explosive improvising into his heavily rhythmic style. Following a four-day run of packed houses at London’s Ronnie Scott’s jazz club with his trio in May, Robert Glasper returns to the UK to play a special run of shows across the country with his electric quartet.

“The music is top drawer, playfully experimental and oozing confidence.”
Financial Times

“Glasper unfailingly gets the feeling right. The music is direct, forceful, inventive and accessible.”
New York Magazine
