We welcome Irish rock gods The Answer to Band on the Wall to celebrate the release of their new LP, Solas.

A decade into the band’s career, Solas marks a significant turning point for The Answer and in particular lead singer Cormac Neeson. After their 2015 US Raise A Little Hell tour, the band returned to a scene of utter emotional and financial chaos with matters escalating further for Neeson, when his newly born son, Dabhog, arrived into the world three months premature with multiple health issues. After four months of fighting for his life in a nightmarish world of ventilators, blood transfusions and an enveloping fear of the unknown, it was time for The Answer to return yielding a newfound strength. For this they turned inwards to their culture, and their deep-rooted sense of ‘Irishness’.

Formed in 2013, Black Cat Bones quickly became one of the most exciting bands on the Liverpool music scene, playing The Cavern Club and the O2 Academy for the first time that same year, and quickly filling headline shows with their exciting live performances. The bands debut EP, ‘False Promises & Wasted Time’, has been seen rave reviews and collected praise from notable colleagues such as The Answer, who first listened to the record on the road on their “Long Live The Renegades” tour. Paul Guerin from The Quireboys and Joe Elliots Down And Outs said “False Promises & Wasted Time is brilliant” and Bumblefoot, formerly of Guns N Roses, said “Sounds great! Enjoyed your songs on Soundcloud, keep it up!”

The band have since started to build up a strong fan base across the UK, playing shows regularly all over the country, notably playing London’s famous Tin Pan Alley.

As well as having supported The Quireboys and Tygers of Pan Tang in 2016, Black Cat Bones have also been busy on the festival circuit, playing at Rock Prest, Boltfest and Bickerstock, with festivals as well as a tour with Marco Mendoza of The Dead Daisies and Thin Lizzy already booked for 2017. With the energy that they bring to the stage, style, passion and rip roaring guitars and vocals Black Cat Bones are surely one to watch and definitely not to be missed live. Black Cat Bones are singed to Broken Road Records Ltd. The bands second record, ‘Down To The River’ is out now.

“The hard rock landscape is crowded right now to say the least, you need to be good to stand out. “Down To The River” is and Black Cat Bones do.” – Maximum Volume Music

”If there was ever a single band to prove that hard rock is still alive and well, it’s Black Cat Bones” -Headbanger Reviews.
