Forming in 2016, Têtes de Pois earned their stripes rising through the Leeds late night DIY jazz movement.
Playing raucous party fusion, heavily influenced by Latin and African dance music, the bands early output featured open instrumental improvisation.
In 2018 Têtes de Pois released the debut EP Framework, which received airtime on BBC radios 2, 3, 4 & 6. The group’s first offering found them opportunities at Shambala, We Out Here, Love Supreme and Greenman.
Over the two years following this release, Têtes de Pois toured the UK extensively and released follow up singles. Eventually the group entered into a hiatus, until they started writing an album in 2022.
The new album features a series of vocalists and a more considered and cinematic approach to songwriting.
