Week 1 of an 8 week course

Summer course for all Rhythm Tappers of the North! The next round of rhythm tap classes with Karen Wood and TAP RHYTHM PROJECT at Band on the Wall. All ages and abilities welcome.

For the uninitiated, Rhythm Tap is a musical improvised jazz tap dance form.

This popular course comprises 8 classes plus a Tap Jam at the end with live music (not included in the price.

Build on technique, theory and learn material to develop your tapping to the next level. Sessions will be focused on your creativity, learning new steps and routines, improvising and having fun.

The beginner/ improver class is suitable for people who are completely new to tap dancing and those that want to brush up in a fun and relaxed way.

The intermediate/ advanced class is aimed at people with at least 2 year’s tap experience that are confident in their basic technique and want to further develop their skills. We will learn steps and ideas from Hoofing legends such as Jimmy Slyde, Chuck Green and mix this up with today’s new tap styles.

Tap shoes are provided so you can just turn up and tap!

Times: Beginner/Improver 6-7pm. Intermediate/Advanced 7-8pm
