Papa Guns

Once upon a wintry eve, some-time guitar twiddler and seasoned warbler Papa Dubs stumbled into a Manchester tavern, drawn by the peculiar and enchanting rhythms emanating from within. There he found local beatsmith Alec Splatt, surrounded by trumpets, walloping and a-wailing like a sweaty musical messiah.

“Alec, Alec, put down your sticks! Pick up a guitar and sing me some Sam Cooke!”, cried Papa. “I shall, but only if you take this cello and play me some Swedish folk!”, replied Alec. The deal was struck, the cider flowed and, come the morning, Papa Guns was born; Manchester’s finest purveyors of sunshine harmony folk-pop refreshment

Doors open at 6pm and open mic from 6.30pm so get down early to book in.
