Snake Davis is one of the UK’s leading saxophonists and in-demand session men playing with some of the biggest names on the British popular music scene. These include the likes of James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Chaka Khan, M-People, Lisa Stansfield, Eurythmics, B*Witched and many more.
2011 sees him on the road with his new 4-piece band, (Paul Birchall, keyboards, Ali Thynne drums, Simon Goulding bass) With a storming new rhythm section there’ll be lots of new material, a wonderful mix of soul world funk and jazz, always melodic, always soulful. Featuring the haunting Japanese shakuhachi and Irish whistle along with saxes there’s something for everybody here, young old or in between. Expect the venue to rock out as his band hit their stride with soaring soul-soaked blues, jazz, reggae and funk. Another knockout night at The Band.
