Young performers aged 13-18 sing and harmonise; write new music with brilliant guest artists and leaders; learn composition, songwriting and solo vocal and group skills all in the main venue at Band on the Wall. Sing City: Summer 2014
Wednesday evenings at Band on the Wall.
Open to young vocalists and songwriters looking to broaden their singing and writing skills, collaborate and perform. The project is led by vocal coach and choral leader Yvonne Shelton (George Michael, The Beautiful South, Take That, Gloria Estefan) and Sara Lowes (solo singer and writer, currently vocals and keyboard with Marina & The Diamonds) With these and other occaisional visiting artists; explore sources of inspiration for songwriting; bring your songs to life with vocal coaching and tips from the top; learn new styles of lyrical and vocal interpretation.
Sessions are FREE to attend and open to vocalists and writers aged between 13 and 18.
Sing City Nights…
Practice performance skills and sing your own songs live onstage at Band on the Wall. On the last Wednesday of the month (30th April and 28th May). Invite family and friends to hear what’s been happening. A great way to boost confidence and gain experience.
