We like to leave our crowd satisfied, so when we decided to throw a monthly party, it felt natural to call it Satisfaction. Every 1st Friday of the month, DJs Coops and Steve will be playing their own inimitable style of groovy ‘60s & ‘70s Pop & Rock, foot-stomping-hip-shaking Motown, Stax & Northern Soul, old R&B, Reggae, Ska and Rock ‘n Roll. There’ll be a lot of old favourites that you can sing along with as you dance, mixed up with mod classics, super funk, wild rock and records that you’ll love as strangers! And we only use records; they sound better…fact. Especially on the new, state-of-the-art soundsystem at Band on the Wall.
In the venue’s Picturehouse Cafe Bar, there’s space to sit and talk away from the dancefloor, rails of vintage garments and 2nd hand records to look through. There’ll be ‘60s music and fashion film playing on the screens, so you can enjoy the retro ambiance while you chill.
The Main Room will be getting a ‘60s make-over on the night, with drapes, visuals and colour wheels making it as much fun hanging out on the balcony as it is out on the dance floor. We make it a colourful night, because our crowd likes to dress up!
