Russian Circles + WIEGEDOOD

  • Wednesday | 16.08.23
  • 7.30pm
  • Band on the Wall, Manchester
  • £25 Advance

Chicago-based post-metal band Russian Circles are back with a bang: a huge bang, which is a combination of drone-heavy meditations, dazzling prog, hardcore noise-rock riffs and even the occasional folk ballad.
Like most rock bands, their live set is the best place to fully experience their atmospheric sound. It breathes new life into their 2022 record Gnosis, resurrecting it with vivid colour. Their irresistible performances are unlike anything else within the genre, taking influence from a myriad of different post-rock influences and landing somewhere between cinematic doom-metal and a bewitching wordless shoegaze.

After nearly two decades in the game, they’ve consistently upped their musical output, and pushed their sound further into the stratosphere. Brilliantly inventive, they’re not one to miss.
