Pakistani-born Rumer is a singer-songwriter infused with the musical stylings of classic 1970s soft rock – think Karen Carpenter and Carole King with a 21st Century spin and you’re halfway there – indeed both Carly Simon and Burt Bacharach (who flew her to California just to hear her sing!) are self-confessed fans of her wonderful sound. Rumer possesses a stunning pure voice and a gift for writing love songs that traverses emotional lanscapes ranging from soaring euphoria to heartbreak and desolation. Appearing on Later with Jools Holland this September, Band on the Wall invites you to join us as we welcome this new shining talent to The Band.
This concert will begin at 8pm but the Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open for delicious food and drinks from 5.30pm. Special Offer! Book your meal in advance and get free ‘lucky dip’ tickets for a future concert – click here now for details
