These could well be tomorrow’s stars! With a wealth of quality artists, RADAR is one of the industry’s favourite nights out.
The Tapestry create unmistakably unique and addictive anthems that are both impossibly glamorous and implausibly catchy.
“If there was ever a band to fall instantly in love with, it is Manchester quartet The Tapestry” – Louder Than War
Two-time GRAMMY Award-winner Timothy Bloom proves that the soul of music is not lost in the noise that is the modern music scene. He has recently been named a VH1 Soul “You Oughta Know Artist,” but don’t classify him as simply R&B. There are glimpses of Prince, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke in his music and lyrics. But there’s also Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix and Lenny Kravitz thrown in for good measure. It’s that fusion—peppered with soul, gospel and country—that makes the difference.
16 year old Talia Storm has been hailed by Elton John as ‘one of the most impressive soul singers I’ve heard in years’, while Nile Rodgers counts her as ‘one of his favourite new artists in the world’. She belts out her strong soulful melodies, with an R&B groove.
Colour The Atlas are four friends from Swindon whose agile musicianship and complex songwriting belies their tender years. Colour The Atlas have released four EP’s to date, the lastest, Amethyst, was again produced and mixed by Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, George Ezra).
Mi’das a.k.a Mike Davies creates soulful music infused with his trademark vocal and guitar playing. He started 2015 as an iTunes ‘Ahead of the Curve’ featured artist both in the UK and US and has in the months since played 60 gigs to over 20,000 people. From busking the streets to performances with artists such as Leona Lewis, Rita Ora, Labrinth and Jamie Cullum, you could say this this Brighton born soulful strummer is on quite a journey.
London based Rapper / singer / songwriter 4i has been putting in the groundwork, independently rising above the noise. His contagious musical vibrations have resonated with the hearts of many after putting out his first major project Soul Rich in December 2014.
With a razor-sharp tongue capable of licking lyrical couplets at a pace that would leave wordsmiths like Jamie T and Alex Turner tied-up, Jordan Allen has a true gift of the gab when it comes to song writing and is destined for great things.
The Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open beforehand for delicious food and drinks.
