A Queer Revue! at Band on the Wall is a quarterly cabaret and clubnight that brings together new and established acts for an anything-goes performance and party.
For this edition, the sensational Manchester/London Haus of Decay take over the main room at Band on the Wall, showcasing the best of their lethal brand of voguing, led by house mothers Joshua Hubbard and Grace Oni Smith. Meanwhile in the Picturehouse Bar we host the launch of The Liberty Festival, Manchester’s explosive creative response to LGBT solidarity with our American siblings. Plus fab music, drag, and the legend that is Barnacle Beryl on hand to read your tarot. Do not miss!
Past events at A Queer Revue! have included the launch party for the Queer Contact Festival, a Trans Takeover Special featuring Kate O’Donnell’s premiere of her Corrie-inspired trans stage piece ‘Hayley & Me’, music from Belfast’s Venus Dupree, a live band night to launch the Manchester Histories Festival featuring LIINES, iLL, Husk and Menage a Trois, plus astonishing star turns from Dublin’s Radical Faerie Stefan Fae, Anna Phylactic, Lill, Grace Oni Smith, Joshua Hubbard, Joyce D’Vision, Monopoly Phonic, Marilyn Misandry, Cheryl Martin, Yandass, Bryony Bates, Adam Beyonce Lowe, Beckie Fox, Stef Elrick, Elecktra Lightorchestra, Carmilla the Lesbian Vampire and more, not to mention elements of mysticism, make-up, Vogue and Ballroom, the Spice Girls, Anthony Hegarty, live poetry on the telephone, short films, drag-rap, stand-up comedy, renegade performance art and drag singing competitions.
