‘Empty Hands’ is a major new collaboration between Mancunian rap/acoustic trio Prose and critically-acclaimed chamber orchestra, Manchester Camerata. Funded by PRS Foundation, Prose and a string quartet will experiment in creating a brand new 5 track EP and accompanying music video which will be celebrated at a headline show at Band on the Wall, 9th Dec.
The band’s frontman says “This is exciting new territory that we’ve been wanting to explore for a long time… it’s a new audience for us and a new sound for our audience. It goes beyond music and will show what can be achieved through musicians collaborating that may not ordinarily work together. We hope that next year it will grow and we will work with the full orchestra.”
Manchester Camerata is ‘Probably Britain’s most adventurous orchestra’ (The Times). Redefining what an orchestra can do.
