We are delighted to announce Outside The Bedroom, a brand new residency programme in partnership with Modular Music School and Band on the Wall.
We are looking for emerging laptop musicians aged 16-24 to undertake the residency during which they will develop innovative musical techniques for composition and live performance, through a series of ten workshops.
We are interested in musicians whose experience of collaboration and live performance is limited. Bedroom Music Producers are invited to apply. The workshops will focus on collaboration, improvisation, and techniques for using laptops and software live. Participants will form a new collaborative group, developing musicianship and performance skills and performing live at Band on the Wall on November 2nd. The course will cover:
• Sound synthesis & drum programming
• Effects
• Chords & harmony
• Audio & MIDI editing
• Recording & editing vocals
• Collaboration
• Performance skills
Application Information:
To apply you must meet the following basic criteria:
• Applicants must be aged between 16 – 24
• Applicants must be available for the whole residency (August 5th – 8th, October 27th-31st and November 2nd) and be able to travel to Band on the Wall on these dates.
