Band on the Wall present a FREE reggae night for Manchester, featuring one of the city’s finest reggae outfits, Nucleus Roots.
Nucleus Roots are held with the highest respect within the Reggae and Dub fraternity and continue to tour and excite audiences young and old, at home and abroad. With the resurgence of their record label and actively releasing vinyl again, Nucleus Roots continue championing their unique sound that so many fans love and which is so intrinsically part of Manchester’s reggae scene.
Throughout their career Nucleus Roots have evolved musically, productively and in stature. Having released four classic reggae albums they have become recognised for their unique and authentic roots productions. The most recent album ‘Heart of the Matter’ perfectly showcases the talent associated with the Nucleus Roots studio. Featuring vocal performances from Moses, Country Culture, Simon Dan, Ossie Gad, Don Hartley, Desnya and Stix Dan it illustrates a song writing versatility to match the classic era of Jamaican Studios from the 70s and 80s. This obvious quality has led them to musical collaborations with leading reggae artists both at home and abroad such as Twinkle Brothers, Misty in Roots, Dub Syndicate, The Natura-ites, Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti and Fredlocks to name but a few…
