NME and ZigZag presents CineJam in Manchester – taking over Band on the Wall with a special screening of the cult movie ’24 Hour Party People’, before performances from ‘ones to watch’ False Advertising and homecoming heroes Everything Everything. Register now for your chance to win tickets!
The Michael Winterbottom-directed ’24 Hour Party People’ stars Steve Coogan as the Manchester music legend Tony Wilson. The acclaimed comedy covers all the chaos and excess that led to the rise and fall of Factory Records – giving the world the likes of Joy Division, New Order, The Happy Mondays and many more.
This summer saw Everything Everything follow up a string of epic festival performances with their acclaimed new album ‘A Fever Dream’. As the band have recently announced their biggest ever headline tour to date, this will be a rare opportunity to get up close and intimate with the art-pop wunderkids.
Support comes from the rising talent of fellow Mancs, the thundering and melodic ‘distorted pop’ trio False Advertising.
Meanwhile, Everything Everything’s upcoming headline tour dates:
Feb 28, Olympia, Dublin
March 2, UEA, Norwich
March 3, Birmingham, O2 Academy
March 5, Bristol, Colston Hall
March 6, Leeds, O2 Academy
March 8, Glasgow, Barrowland
March 9, Manchester, O2 Apollo
March 10, London, Alexandra Palace
This is a seated show with limited standing. Presented by NME and ZigZag. 18+ only.
