My Generation is back with an evening of classic soul with the amazing Lauren Housley Band and the return of DJs Baz and Howard spinning great tracks from their classic vinyl collection. Aimed at the over-50s and their pals, this promises to be another friendly night of live music, dancing and socialising.

Lauren Housley Band

Welcome to the warm, organic soundscape of Lauren Housley – a fresh, big voice with the full, rounded flavour and maturity of a retro-classic panorama, dove-tailing the tender tones of Dusty Springfield, the grandeur of Marlena Shaw with the virility of Ray Charles – as delivered by a strutting young lass from Yorkshire.

A busy run of music venues and festivals across the country performing with her own band as well as on-stage action with the 11-piece Riot Jazz Brass Band has established Lauren as a new dominant force in Manchester’s live music scene.

This event will see Lauren and her incredibly talented band of musicians playing a selection of tracks from her debut EP, One Step Closer, complimented by a selection of soul tracks from the Motown and Stax era.

“One of Manchester’s chart-bound divas” David Sue, City Life Magazine

“When I say this EP (One Step Closer) is a must have, I’m saying from the bottom of my heart. Pure soul!” The Cryptic Beauty
