Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favouring emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
Mangorata are a 6-piece Jazz Fusion collective based in Leeds. They combine original tunes and improvision, creating high energy with lively rhythms inspired by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Wayne shorter, Nubiyan Twist and many more. The band met whilst studying at Leeds Conservatoire, they have combined their love for Jazz, Funk and Latin music and have already performed at some of the iconic venues of Leeds. They are currently working on an EP which will be released later this year on all mainstream music platforms.
