Band on the Wall is delighted to welcome West End star Julie Atherton for a very special live performance.

Julie will be showcasing her acclaimed album No Space for Air in Band on the Wall’s intimate setting (recently voted Manchester’s best night out 2010 by CityLife readers), offering her Northern based fans their first opportunity to hear this lauded leading lady cast her genre-defying interpretations on a range of classic tracks and brand new songs penned specially for her voice. The album will also be available for purchase on the night.

JULIE ATHERTON WILL BE JOINED BY FORMER STAR OF S CLUB 7 JON LEE FOR FIRST EVER SOLO SHOW UP NORTH

 West End star Julie Atherton will be joined by close friend and former S Club 7 band member Jon Lee on Friday 8 October 2010 at Manchester’s prestigious Band on the Wall.

Lee will sing a duet with Atherton from Jason Robert Brown’s The Last 5 Years, a musical in which she has previously starred twice in London’s West End. Having met when Lee.

A founding member of the West End’s Notes from New York series, and best known for originating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in Avenue Q, Julie’s musical influences range from Alanis Morrissette and Skunk Anansie to legendary musical theatre composer Stephen Sondheim, leading to a wonderfully eclectic and personal selection of material. Advance booking strongly recommended.

This concert will begin at 7.30pm. Picturehouse Cafe Bar open for delicious food and drinks from 5.30pm.
