Born in Assam, northeast India, growing up in Australia, and now splitting his time between Brooklyn and London – Jitwam’s music reflects the eclectic list of places he’s lived. An array of cultural influences impacts his work with impeccable results, blending house, R&B, soul, disco and even punk to create refreshingly unconventional beats.
A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and vocalist, the self-proclaimed “psychedelic soul savant” has steadily carved out his own sound and cemented himself as a world-class DJ and live performer. He’s even a label head at The Jazz Diaries – again demonstrating his knowledgeable approach to music, sound and genre.
His most recent album Third was released June 2022 via Roya and sees him developing his already expansive sound further still.
