Inner Sense Percussion were a Batucada ensemble formed in Manchester in the mid 1980’s. They brought Brazilian street music to the UK and toured extensively in the late eighties and early nineties, eventually touring the world. They played at Band on the Wall on several occasions, and footage of the band, shot at the venue, features in this promotional video.
Support act the London School of Samba are the longest established UK Samba outfit, formed in 1984.
