Sign up for free entry and discover new music from the likes of Oystercatcher, Shyfinger, Mayling and Kara.

Oystercatcher is a music collective based in Manchester. At its core are multi-instrumentalists Caitlin Laing (vocals) and Tom Chapman (bass), although the line-up changes fluidly, ranging from a duo to an orchestra and everything in between.

Having been musicians for quite some time, the members of Shyfinger came together, desperate to have a band with an interesting name. All the good names were taken. ALL OF THEM.
But this did not deter the plucky crew of instrument manglers, bashers and blowers. Oh no. It made them more RESOLUTE. And thus, they did put together bits of funky riffing, and jazzy noodling, and some of that “head-nod shit,” leaving out the face-melting solos so beloved of musos everywhere, and verily it became a set.

Mayling are an ambient jazz/hip-hop band, with influences including Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Robert Glasper, Badbadnotgood, J Dilla, TLC and Christian Scott. Mayling create a vibe that keeps people engaged, and relaxed.

A seven piece band fronted by three powerful chanteuses, kara. make music that speaks as much to the celestial as it does to the heart.

This is a standing show.
