If one band encapsulates the energy and sheer thrill of dancefloor jazz in their performances, it’s Finland’s Five Corners Quintet. Emerging from the Helsinki jazz scene in 2005, their captivating and achingly cool style (recent tracks featured jazz legend Mark Murphy) references the golden years of modern jazz, while all the time taking it in new and exciting directions.
