Band on the Wall Film Club begins with the Coen brother’s cult classic, The Big Lebowski.
The Film starring Jeff Bridges as our anti-hero, Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, contains classic songs, evocative of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, with music of Creedance Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan, Captain Beefheart and Moondog. Alongside these are pieces by legendary film composer Henry Mancini and Exotica singer Yma Sumac, completing an incredible soundtrack for an incredible story.
The Picturehouse bar will open at 5pm, giving you time to enjoy a White Russian with Chilli & Nachos, plus a few rounds on the Wii bowling in preparation for the film. The screening begins at 7.30pm, with Band on the Wall’s famous performance space being transformed into a lounger’s paradise, where dressing gowns will be more than welcome.
