We Are Splendour! A multi-genre band and we’re debuting the first of what we hope to be many iterations of our event Attic Jam. Originating in Manchester, we came together in college in 2021, which gave us the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. Since then, we’ve learnt a lot and have grown together developing our own genre-blended sound, drawing inspiration from funk, neo-soul, rock, and R&B
Attic Jam is a special name to us since the attic has been the rehearsal space for all our previous and upcoming performances, and of course Attic Jam itself. It has been the room and makeshift studio of Splendour’s bassist, Sol, where interestingly all the performers you will be listening to have rehearsed themselves. We’ve all cosily made music in Sol’s attic, so we’re bringing that comfy community and fun we’ve had to Attic Jam.
We are a band made up of 7 members: Louis on keys, Solomon playing bass, Jan strumming rhythm and singing backup, Francesca joining Jan on backup, Nimi as lead singer, Ivan hitting drums, and Niko playing lead guitar.
It has been a running Splendour motif to encourage the crowd to be included and a part of the performance, so no doubt we will be sharing this at Attic Jam.
Alongside us performing at Attic Jam will be our talented friends and performers Scarlett Griffiths, Holly Walsh, Rozerin Asutay and Farrah Abbassy. They will each perform an array of music bringing their own uniqueness to Attic Jam.
