Joining forces back in 2017 for International Women’s Day, ARTEMIS are the exciting, women-led jazz collective that are championing multinationalism.
This is an act you need to catch live to truly appreciate. Ever compelling, their phenomenal live performances led to their immediate signing to record label Blue Note Records, after president Don Was saw their set at Newport Jazz Festival back in 2018.
With an already stacked personnel – ARTEMIS was founded by the eclectic mix of composers Renee Rosnes, Allison Miller, Ingrid Jensen, and Noriko Ueda – the collective brought in the fresh talents of Nicole Grover and Alexa Tarantino for their second LP, In Real Time. The album is a superb example of masterful jazz, made by an ensemble of seasoned composers and bandleaders.
Live, expect each track to transform in front of your eyes, adapting to the venue’s atmosphere while still maintaining the distinct sound and personalities of each musician.
