Last year, with his fifth release Gold – Go Forward in the Courage of Your Love, Manchester-born poet and saxophonist Gus Fairbairn – better known as Alabaster DePlume – urged his listeners to fall in love with themselves via gentle jazz. Now, he’s bringing that jazz back home!
With a people-first – not product-first! – approach to both music making and live performance, the night will be a unique experience specifically tailored to those in the audience. Often funny, full of wonder, and with a swift political bite, the gig will be an uplifting homecoming for one of Manchester’s greatest poets.
