African Heritage Day

  • Sunday | 22.09.19

  • Band on the Wall, Manchester
  • £8 ADVANCE / £1...

Sosoe’s Kitchen and Phill Morgan (Mr Savana) present a celebration of African Heritage Day, a reminder that the struggles against injustice and inequities of the past are part of our identity and culture.

Expect an engaging, welcoming, informative and enjoyable day for the whole family, packed full of African food, music, culture and entertainment. Traditional African dress is encouraged!

When our first democratically-elected governments decided to make Heritage Day one of our national days, we did so because we knew that our rich and varied cultural heritage has the profound power to help build our new nation.

Africa is a rainbow continent where creative expression flourishes, and its endless cultural diversity is embodied through traditional and modern interpretation of song, dance, theatre, designs, fashion and food.

If indeed our continent is, through our children, to rise from the ashes of division and conflict we have to acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate who we are.

TICKET EXCHANGE
====

We know that sometimes you can’t make it to a show you’ve got tickets for. If you would like to pass on your tickets for a sold out show to someone else, we recommend listing them via Twickets, an ethical and secure face value fan-to-fan ticket exchange.

If you are looking for tickets to a sold out show, we strongly advise you DO NOT PURCHASE from people you don’t know online – particularly those advertising spares on Facebook, due to a sharp rise in scammers and touts.
