Acoustic Bhuna is Band On The Wall’s brand new acoustic showcase evening, playing host to some of the very best acoustic music that the North West has to offer.

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, between 6 and 10pm, you will be able to see three of the regions finest acts playing for FREE in the cosy setting of Band On The Wall’s Picturehouse Cafe-Bar.

This week’s acts are:

Robert John

Possessed of one of the most powerful and distinctive voices on the Manchester music scene, when Robert John let’s forth a roar, or plummets ominously into his seemingly bottomless low register, the ground seems to quake with barely-harnessed passion. Perfectly augmented by the percussion, backing vocals and sheer energy of the inimitable Kevin Morel, Rob’s solo material has an intense, brooding quality which draws the listener in and seems to grab hold of your very bones.

Ash Hunter

Hailing from Knutsford, Ash Hunter is the very epitome of the modern day folk song writer. Ash’s songs are elegant, dreamy narratives of day-to-day life in his native Cheshire, with simple, poignant melodies interlacing beautifully with his spacious, melodic fingerpicking style.

Troubadour’s Grave

Troubadour’s Grave is the musical project of Manchester music students Jacob Olah and Owen Johnson. A beguiling ensemble of delicate acoustic guitars, lush vocal harmonies and floating strings; elements which come together to create a dreamy, ethereal sound, tailor-made for a lazy Sunday evening at Band On The Wall.

Doors open a 6pm, music starts at 7pm. FREE ENTRY.

As a perfect accompaniment to the live music, you can tuck into one of Chef Giles’ fresh, home made curries, made with locally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of love. And why not wash it all down with a refreshing pint of cask ale from our sponsors, Green Mill Brewery?
