Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favourite emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
Acid Child were originally formed in Ajaccio (Corsica, FR) in 2015 by Nico Digiacomi, Seymour Orsoni-Bronchain, and Arnaud Castelli. After releasing a first EP (‘Villa Natalia’), Nico and Seymour left the country in 2016 into exile, finding their new spiritual home in Manchester, UK. Focusing on composing and producing for three years, they released the first single from their debut album ‘Emphasize’ in 2019.
After several live shows, DJ sets and residencies around Manchester between 2018 and 2022 (YES, Night & Day Café, Band on the Wall), opening for artists such as Nile Marr and Imarhan, and another round of French festivals (Bordeaux Open Air, Ballà Boum Festival, Cargese Sound System) in the summer of 2019, the band took a forced year off the stage.
Acid Child is now about to release their first major single since ‘Slow Reverse Flow’ – ‘Careless Taking’ will be released in July 2022 by the french label “From Disco To Disko”, alongside a music video produced and shot in Manchester.
