Our mantra here at Band on the Wall is Where the World Comes to Play — as well as award-winning gigs, we’re a space where everyone can come to explore and create music of their own, regardless of experience.
Our Learning Programme returns in September, with some exciting new additions. We’re pleased to announce we will be running Yoga with the fantastic Dolores McGowan, as well as our new Jazz Theory workshop, run by Munch Manship.
Our yoga sessions will run on Tuesday mornings from 07:45-08:30 – the perfect way to begin your day! These are drop-in sessions, so just turn up and pay on the day – each session will be £5. If you can, please bring your own mat. As with all our Learning Programme, full bursaries are available.
The Jazz Theory course runs for 10-weeks, where you can learn the principles of jazz theory which will be explored through your personal instrument performance. Work through melodies and chord sequences relating to the Blues, Latin, Bebop and Jazz Standards to improve your improvisational skills. This is open to those 16+ in any instrument, from beginner-intermediate level.
Our sessions (apart from our 10-week courses) run during school term times. Here’s our weekly timetable:
