Band on the Wall’s Young Musician Instrument Bursary Fund

Band on the Wall is proud to announce the Young Musician Instrument Bursary Fund, kindly supported through donations from the World of Music Choir.

Music is a force for good in the lives of children, with countless wellbeing benefits to participating in musical activities. We see this every day through our World of Music learning programme at Band on the Wall.

But what are the obstacles that hold children back when it comes to music learning? Instruments can be prohibitively expensive. Lessons can also be very costly. And parents and carers might not receive the support they need to assist with their child’s development.

At Band on the Wall, we want every child to enjoy the benefits of continued music participation. So, with the generous support of donations from the World of Music Choir, we have established the Young Musician Instrument Bursary Fund for children who have started their musical journey but are unable to afford their own instrumentsThis fund has been established to buy instruments for children. These are not loans; the child will own this instrument.

In addition, children receiving an instrument will also be entitled to three one-to-one online lessons from an expert on their instrument, and they will participate in one of our weekly workshop courses, such as World of Music Journeys.

They will also receive continued support from the World of Music learning programme team with any questions or problems encountered.
