Next Friday sees the mighty Red Eye Hi-Fi crew take up residence at Band on the Wall, bringing African, South American and Caribbean dance music to the club, along with generous helpings of UK bass, jungle and Grime. Having recently co-curated a room at Love for the Streets, their first carnival event of 2018 is set to continue the love, with The Busy Twist, Mina and Lady Ice rounding off the most tempting of bills.
Ahead of the show, the crew have hit us up with a playlist of ten searing selections, to put you in the perfect mood. ‘The tight production and West African/South American rhythms of Busy Twist & Mina have featured in our sets for a while now,’ the crew explain, ‘so when we linked up with Band on the Wall, a venue open to exploring forward-thinking and interesting acts, we knew we had to get them on.’
‘Lady Ice is another exciting act that has been on our radar this year and we are delighted to have her performing her latest hit Do That For (plus loads more) off the back of a packed festival season and summer of radio appearances.’
We’re chuffed to have the crew on board and excited to see what they have in store. ‘Doing shows at Band on the Wall is something we are looking forward to as the energy and focus is perfect for our shows, which always include a live element, dancers and decor. We can’t wait, see you there.’
