Opportunity: Engagement Programme Consultant (HLF)

Inner City Music Ltd (ICM), owners and operators of the historic Manchester music venue Band on the Wall, wish to appoint a consultant or consultant team to support its development of a world-class music and heritage engagement programme and Activity Plan for delivery as part of a wider project (“Bigger, Better, Stronger”) to expand the Band on the Wall venue, partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The projects current status is that it has received a first round pass with associated development funding, and is now entering its development phase, in preparation for a second round application to HLF for the full project funding.

The project proposal, as outlined in Stage 1, is to deliver a programme of engagement activities focussing on the music, song, storytelling and dance heritage of Manchester’s rich and varied migrant communities.

The outcome of this appointment is to produce a detailed and costed HLF Activity Plan, in accordance with the HLF published guidance.

The applicant should have previous HLF Activity Plan research and writing experience.  They must also have access to or have detailed academic knowledge of best practice models for music, song, storytelling and dance programmes which have been proven to enhance broader learning.
