Lack of Afro and Jenna G return for the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club

We’re excited to welcome back some of our favourites funkees this Summer, opening the show for Craig Charles at the CityLife Award-winning Funk & Soul Club.

Jenna G – vocalist and Manchester mainstay who fronts Jenna & The G’s, recently performed at Band on the Wall with the mighty Twisted Tubes, footage of which you can check out below. She returns to the club in June, while producer and multi-instrumentalist Lack of Afro is back in business for the night in May. Hot off the release of his first major label track: Ofenbach’s club-ready edit of Party ft. Wax and Herbal T., Lack of Afro is set to drop a new single with feature vocalist Elliott Cole next Friday. A limited edition 7” single follows the digital release (which you can check out via Bandcamp in the sidebar) and several copies will be signed and numbered.

Back to the Day is the definition of feel-good funk and was premiered during the last twenty-minutes of Craig Charles’ 6Music show last week. Lack of Afro is set to join Craig on the show in the coming weeks and we’re looking forward to hearing what he has to say about the production of his forthcoming album and new live dates.

April’s live act for the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club are the fantastic MF Robots and you can check out each and every forthcoming live band for the clubnight, right here.
