Composer and acclaimed vocalist Yasmin Levy combines the purity of Ladino, the Judeo-Spanish music of Spain, with the fiery rhythms of Flamenco to stunning effect.

Ladino is an ancient musical form created when Jews were forcibly exiled from Spain at the end of the 15th Century and settled in the eastern Ottoman empire. Incredibly beautiful and melodious, with achingly moving lyricism, Levy collides this with all the passion and flamboyance of Flamenco, and adds a sprinkling of Turkish and Middle-Eastern flavours, to create a new music that is hers alone.

This year Levy and her band have quite literally taken the world’s stages by storm as her dazzling vocal virtuosity and passionate songs have astonished audiences wherever she plays. See her now in Manchester for what promises to be a very special night.
