Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favourite emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
YAANG are an electronic post-punk trio based in Manchester. Known for their exciting, chaotic and unpredictable live shows, they’re returning to Band on the Wall off the back of their first UK tour including a performance at the inaugural Fair Play festival, as well as a sold-out headline show at Manchester’s YES.
The band played their first ever gig at Band on the Wall back in January 2018, and were also the last band to play the venue before it closed for renovations in early 2020.
Their most recent release “White Socks Yellow” has garnered considerable radio traction, with airings on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing, after their previous single “Lose Hold Of You”, included on the Slow Dance ’20 compilation album, peaked at number six in the Amazing Radio chart.
The band will also be DJing after their set, alongside a handpicked lineup of friends and peers, including manager Hannah Tinker.
