Join for this special evening of artistic solidarity, bringing together Palestinian, Irish and Mancunian musicians in a stellar benefit concert for Gaza. Renowned Palestinian oud player Reem Anbar heads a bill featuring award-winning vocalist Rioghnach Connolly and bandleader Séamus Óg. All funds will go to local NGO’s working on the ground supporting the people of Palestine to access food, medical care and other basic human rights.

Gaining a reputation as Gaza’s first female oud player in the early 2000s, Reem Anbar carries her stories of war, displacement and resistance through music. Performing traditional and contemporary music from the Middle East, Reem arrives fresh from her European and US tour with Gazelleband.

BBC Folk Singer of the Year,  Ríoghnach Connolly wears her Irish family heritage on her sleeve, fronting groundbreaking band projects Honeyfeet, The Breath and Lí Ban. She returns to Band on the Wall with guitarist Ellis Davies, her longstanding co-conspirator, with a set of traditional and original tunes.

Séamus Óg is a local and international leader in traditional Irish music, bringing storytelling and island life to this quartet brimming with harmony and texture. With his second album freshly released, Seamus’s appearance culminates an acclaimed ongoing tour, featuring harp, cello and double bass alongside his vocal and guitar work.
